Business visa applicants will need to submit a letter from their U.S. company explaining the purpose of their trip and providing a financial guarantee. If requesting a long term multiple entry visa (TYPE II) you must provide a letter stating that the purpose of the trip is for business meetings and is of a non-technical nature. Included in this letter must be the phrase "No technical assistance will be provided”
Business visa applicants will also need to submit a letter of invitation from the company in Brazil that they are going to visit. A fax copy is acceptable. This letter also should state the purpose of the trip

Minors under 18 years of age:
. A copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required in all cases;
. Minors not traveling with both parents/guardians must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s)/guardian(s) authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa;
. A certificate of vaccination against polio is required for children between ages of three months and six years. A notarized letter from the child's physician is required if the child cannot be inoculated.
