Business visa applicants will need to submit a letter from their U.S. company explaining the purpose of their trip and providing a financial guarantee. If requesting a long term multiple entry visa (TYPE II) you must provide a detailed letter stating that the purpose of the trip is for business meetings and is of a non-technical nature. Name address and phone number of the contact person in Brazil must be mentioned in the letter. Included in this letter must be the phrase "No technical assistance will be provided”
Business visa applicants will also need to submit a letter of invitation from the company in Brazil that they are going to visit. A fax copy is NOT acceptable.It has to be the original letter or a scan sent via email. This letter also should state the purpose of the trip

Minors under 18 years of age:
. A copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required in all cases;
. Minors not traveling with both parents/guardians must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s)/guardian(s) authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa;
. A certificate of vaccination against polio is required for children between ages of three months and six years. A notarized letter from the child's physician is required if the child cannot be inoculated.
