SAN FRANCISCO, April 15, 2026 — Peninsula Visa, a trusted leader in immigration and visa processing services with over 50 years of expertise, today announced the launch of its full-service APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) application and renewal assistance program. The service enables eligible U.S. business travelers to obtain the ABTC — a card providing access to expedited APEC lanes at participating airports, with Peninsula assisting with the application and the applicant completing CBP's required enrollment and signature steps.

What Is the APEC Business Travel Card?

The U.S. APEC Business Travel Card provides access to expedited APEC lanes at participating airports. It does not replace a passport or any visa required by your destination, and it does not guarantee entry.

The U.S. ABTC is not a visa substitute. Carry your passport and any required destination visa, and check entry requirements before each trip.

The 21 APEC Member Economies

The following are APEC member economies, not a visa-waiver list. Airport lane availability and entry requirements vary:

Australia • Brunei • Canada • Chile • China • Hong Kong • Indonesia • Japan • Malaysia • Mexico • New Zealand • Papua New Guinea • Peru • Philippines • Russia • Singapore • South Korea • Taiwan • Thailand • United States • Vietnam

Global Entry Prerequisite

Peninsula's APEC service requires active Global Entry membership. CBP's U.S. APEC program accepts qualifying members of Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI; this does not change Peninsula's service prerequisite. Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Program that pre-screens and approves low-risk international travelers. Peninsula Visa also offers full-service Global Entry assistance — making it a natural pathway for business travelers who want to obtain both programs through a single trusted provider.

Applicants who do not yet hold Global Entry membership can begin the Global Entry application process with Peninsula Visa and then proceed to the ABTC application once their Global Entry membership is active.

Peninsula Visa's End-to-End ABTC Service

The ABTC application involves eligibility review, application preparation, government review, enrollment and signature collection, and card issuance. Peninsula helps prepare and manage your application. You remain responsible for attending required CBP appointments, providing your electronic signature, and meeting each destination's passport, visa, and entry requirements. The three phases of the process are:

  • Phase 1 — Application Preparation & Submission (3–5 Business Days): Peninsula verifies the applicant's eligibility (U.S. citizenship, valid passport, active Global Entry, legitimate business purpose), prepares the complete CBP ABTC application, reviews all information for accuracy, pays the $70 government fee on behalf of the applicant, and submits to CBP.
  • Phase 2 — Government Review & Conditional Approval: CBP conducts a background check and determines eligibility for the U.S. ABTC program. Peninsula monitors the application status and notifies the applicant immediately when Conditional Approval is received. Timing varies based on CBP processing volume.
  • Phase 3 — Card Issuance: Applicants must complete CBP's required enrollment and electronic-signature steps. Applicants who are not already CBP trusted travelers must complete the trusted-traveler interview. Existing trusted travelers must still complete CBP's signature-collection process; follow CBP's instructions for an enrollment-center visit or eligible Enrollment on Arrival. Following CBP approval and completion of required steps, the card is issued and mailed to the applicant. Destination visas and entry requirements still apply.

Pricing

Peninsula Visa offers ABTC assistance at two service levels:

  • New ABTC Application — $369 total (includes Peninsula's service fee and the $70 CBP government fee paid on your behalf)
  • ABTC Renewal — $269 total (includes Peninsula's service fee and the $70 CBP government fee paid on your behalf)

Why the ABTC Is Essential for Asia-Pacific Business Travelers

For executives, consultants, and business development professionals who travel frequently to Asia-Pacific markets, the time and friction involved in immigration queues represents a real cost. Long queues at Tokyo Narita, Singapore Changi, Seoul Incheon, and other major hubs can add 45–90 minutes to every arrival. The U.S. ABTC provides access to expedited lanes at participating airports; wait times and procedures vary.

Get Started Today

U.S. citizens with active Global Entry membership and a legitimate business purpose for travel to APEC member economies are eligible to apply for the ABTC. Peninsula Visa's checkout process makes it easy to begin the application in minutes. For travelers who need to obtain Global Entry first, Peninsula Visa offers complete Global Entry assistance as well.
