SAN FRANCISCO, August 19, 2026 — Peninsula Visa today announced the launch of its Developer Portal and Partner API v1, a new integration platform designed for approved partners that want to bring visa requirements, service discovery, quotes, and ordering into the customer experiences they already manage.
The launch gives travel businesses, affiliates, and other integration partners a practical path from a lightweight on-site visa checker to a fuller transactional workflow. Partners can choose the integration approach that fits their product today, then expand as their needs grow.
Four Ways to Integrate
The Developer Portal presents four supported paths for connecting to Peninsula Visa:
- Embed widget — Add a simple embedded experience so visitors can check visa requirements and begin an order without leaving a partner's site. Orders initiated through the embed are attributed to the partner.
- Data API — Query Peninsula Visa's live service catalog and nationality-to-destination visa requirements to inform partner experiences and traveler planning tools.
- Transactional API — Create authoritative, time-limited price quotes and turn those quotes into orders. Customers complete payment through a secure hosted checkout page, so payment-card information never passes through the partner integration. Eligible corporate partners can use direct billing.
- Signed webhooks — Receive signed notifications for order creation, status changes, completion, and payment outcomes, with timestamped HMAC-SHA256 signatures, replay protection, durable delivery, and automatic retries.
Designed for Reliable Partner Workflows
Partner API v1 is built around the operational details that matter when an integration moves from prototype to production. Quotes are calculated by Peninsula Visa's pricing engine and re-verified when an order is created, so a checkout cannot charge a price different from the quote it accepts. Order creation supports an Idempotency-Key header, allowing partners to safely retry a request without creating duplicate orders.
The API provides a versioned contract for the service catalog, visa-requirement checks, quotes, orders, order status, and signed webhook delivery. Hosted checkout keeps customer payment collection within Peninsula Visa's payment flow while allowing partners to guide customers through a connected experience.
Developer Access and Documentation
Approved partners can begin with read and quote capabilities, then work with Peninsula Visa to enable order and webhook permissions when their integration is ready. To request access, prospective partners can apply through the Peninsula Visa affiliate program. After approval, partners create API keys from the API Keys section of the partner dashboard.
