Visa Requirements for Thailand

Thailand's entry rules changed on 15 September 2026. Select your passport to see whether you qualify for a 30-day or 15-day exemption, a bilateral waiver, Visa on Arrival, or need an e-Visa.

Thailand's Four Entry Schemes

Effective 15 September 2026, Thailand uses nationality-specific entry routes:

  • 30-day exemption: tourism only; most travelers are limited to two visa-free land-border entries per calendar year.
  • 15-day exemption: tourism-only entry for Mauritius and Seychelles passport holders.
  • Bilateral waivers: stays of 14 to 90 days, depending on nationality, and not limited to tourism.
  • Visa on Arrival: 15 days for Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia passport holders.
  • Everyone else: apply before travel through Thailand's e-Visa system.

Business travel under a tourism-only exemption needs the Thailand Business e-Visa. Travelers who want an initial stay of up to 60 days can apply for the Thailand Tourist e-Visa.
