What is an arrival card (immigration card)?
An arrival card — also called a disembarkation card, immigration card, or landing card — records details such as your passport, flight, purpose of visit, and accommodation. It may be an online declaration rather than a paper card. Requirements and exemptions depend on the destination, entry point, and traveler.
Why do I need help completing an arrival card? Can't I fill it out myself?
Yes. You can use the official government system yourself; many arrival declarations are free to submit. Peninsula's fee is for optional preparation and guidance, not a government entry approval. We help check details, explain timing, and identify any steps you must complete personally.
Which countries require arrival cards for U.S. travelers?
There is no single rule for every destination on this page. Many use digital declarations, some have exemptions or port-specific processes, and a country listed for guidance does not necessarily require a card from every visitor. Is this the same as a visa?
No. An arrival declaration records travel information; it does not replace a visa, eVisa, travel authorization, or passport. A submission confirmation or QR code is not approval to enter. You must separately meet the destination's entry requirements, and border authorities make the final admission decision.
When will I receive my confirmation or instructions?
Timing depends on the destination's submission window, complete travel details, and any steps you must finish yourself. An order placed early does not mean the declaration can be submitted immediately. We explain the timing for your trip; we do not promise a same-day confirmation or a PDF for every destination. Will I receive a QR code, a PDF, or just guidance?
The official system determines the output. Some issue a QR code, others send a submission confirmation or retain an electronic record. A printable copy is not always required or available. Do I have to print something and hand it to an officer?
Not everywhere. Follow the instructions for your destination: you may show a QR code on your phone, retain a confirmation for reference, or simply present your passport for an electronic-record check. Print a copy only when required or recommended by the official process. Paper arrival cards, where used, follow local arrival instructions.
Does Peninsula assist with group or family arrival cards?
Yes. We help coordinate the required details for families and groups. Depending on the destination, declarations may be individual or grouped, and each traveler may still need their own QR code or record. We explain which details and personal steps are needed; a separate printable card for every traveler is not guaranteed.
